Anton Strydom began his career in financial services at Old Mutual in 1988 before establishing Carinus Strydom (Pty) Ltd, with his partner Mike Carinus, in 1998 in Stellenbosch. In 2008 he earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. In the same year he earned the Certified Financial Planner®️ designation from the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa.
Anton acted only as financial planner but in 2004 Carinus Strydom (Pty) Ltd started actively managing their own wrap funds. Anton registered as fund manager with the FSCA in 2008 and they started their own Unit Trust Fund of Funds. In 2011 Anton founded CS Asset Management (Pty) Ltd, the asset management company; Anton and Leon van Wyk act as Fund Managers and Anton is also the Managing Director.
Right from the start, Anton has focused on building and maintaining long term client relationships. This motivated him to increase the services on offer which then in turn differentiates the company from other competitors in the market. He also realised the importance of contingency in the company resulting in appointing younger Financial Planners who shares the values of the company.

Theunis began his career as financial planner with Carinus Strydom (Pty) Ltd (now CS Wealth (Pty) Ltd) in January 2012, straight after completing his studies. He quickly realised that he had a passion for working with individuals and families, and his holistic approach and attention to detail are the things that set him apart from others in the industry. He prides himself on having an independent approach so that he can assist each and every client with their financial planning accordingly, with the required level of skill, diligence and professionalism.
He holds a BCom degree in Financial Management from the University of Stellenbosch (2010), followed by Investment Management studies completed in 2011, also at Stellenbosch. In 2013, he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. In 2015, he earned the Certified Financial Planner®️ designation from the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa.
Outside of work, Theunis is a devoted family man with two kids and another on the way. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is an avid camper who also enjoys tennis, golf, and cooking.

Johann holds a B.Com Investment Management degree from the University of the Free State, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. In 2022, he earned the Certified Financial Planner®️ designation from the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa. He joined Carinus Strydom (Pty) Ltd (now CS Wealth (Pty) Ltd) in January 2020.
Johann believes that planning for the future is one of the most valuable investments. He offers thoughtful, personalised advice tailored to each client’s unique needs—whether they’re focused on building wealth, protecting what they’ve earned, or planning for a secure retirement. With a strong focus on risk management and long-term financial stability, Johann helps clients navigate life’s complexities with clarity and confidence.
Outside of the office, Johann enjoys life with his wife and baby daughter—and whenever time allows, a round of golf.

Johann has more than 38 years’ experience in the life insurance and employee benefits industry. He spent 25 years with Absa and Momentum and in 2012 he joined Carinus Strydom (Pty) Ltd (now CS Wealth (Pty) Ltd).
His experience at Absa and Momentum has given him valuable insight into how to deal with product providers, financial planners and clients. He has a passion for client service and finds joy in serving and supporting both colleagues and clients.
Johann plays a vital role in support for Anton, Theunis and Johann Peens. Johann’s excellent knowledge of the industry and products is invaluable for the Financial Planners to ensure the client receives the best possible advice.
Outside of the office, Johann enjoys the company of family and friends.
